In the spring of 2003, the OHF and Mayo Foundation made it possible to open Mayo Clinic Hyperoxaluria Center at the esteemed Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA - the only clinical care and research center staffed by physician scientists devoted to the study of Oxalosis and PH. Mayo Clinic is one of the most experienced centers in the world for treating patients with PH. Mayo Clinic's Hyperoxaluria Center has established programs for the care of both children and adults with this condition. All diagnostic and treatment services for patients are coordinated through the Hyperoxaluria Center, including kidney and liver transplantation and all types of dialysis -- all in partnership with the patient's home physician.
