Dear Family & Friends,

As you are probably already aware, my son Kyle suffers from Primary Hyperoxaluria - A rare genetic liver and kidney disease. Inspired by the courage and strength of those I know who like my son continue to struggle with the effects of PH, this year I have decided to participate in the Mighty Hamptons Triathlon.

On September 14th I will be completing a 1.5k swim, 40k bike ride and 10k run sequentially in an Olympic distance triathlon. I am training for the triathlon to support the Oxalosis and Hyperoxaluria Foundation (OHF), an organization dedicated to finding a cure for PH, a life threatening disease. I am participating for the benefit of all the patients worldwide but dedicating this effort to my son Kyle.

The Mighty Hamptons is now less than 8 weeks away and I've been training hard and putting in the miles so I can last through the rigorous course! I truly appreciate my sponsors, and am excited about the enthusiasm and encouragement expressed from my friends and family during my training.

Steady advances are bringing us closer to a cure thanks to research funded by you through the OHF. Join me in the fight to make PH a disease of the past and to help the afflicted patients.
